A suspended tapestry of lived experience, this work repurposes salvaged wool garments into a singular, enveloping form, evoking the warmth and comfort of solidarity. Preserving each piece intact, it reflects on the evolving relationship between the female body and self-perception through transition.
The cardigan carries traces of past wearers, layering personal and collective histories. Through material and form, it invites contemplation on change, confidence, and the shifting narratives of the body.
I am proud to say that the cardigan will feature in the Coventry Open 2025, held at The Herbert Art Gallery from March 28th to June 8th.
